American Airlines Center [AAC]
I bought tickets for my wife, myself, Paige Daniel and her sister Melanie. Paige had to drive up from Texas A&M, College Station, after class. Paige made good time but it was too late for us to try and eat at El Fenix in downtown Dallas before the concert. My wife and I picked the girls up at their house and made it to the AAC shortly before 8 PM.
Since our four seats were not together, I gave the girls some money to get dinner and I highly suggested the chicken strips and fries. I think Paige got the strips while Mel go her usual - a hamburger.
I gave Paige and Mel two tickets that were on the left side of the stage and were the better seats. My friend Gary Malone was in the same section in front of them. My wife and I were on the right side of the stage and a little higher up. Their seats turned out to be even better as Coldplay setup in the audience very near them and performed two songs. Coldplay likes to do that.
Sleeper Car and John Hopkins opened and I was not impressed. Coldplay came on about 9 PM.
As usual, Coldplay puts on a terrific show. Everyone should see them at least once.
I do not like the techno version of God Put A Smile Upon Your Face and Talk. I'd like to hear Talk at least once like the original.
When Coldplay performed Via La Vida, they brought the house down. I used to think that Clocks was an energetic song but it does not compare to Viva La Vida.
Every concert by Coldplay gets better and better with more and more Grammy award winning hits.
